What you will learn

Grow and identify dye plants with a miniature dye garden seed set. Experiment with seasonal plant dyeing, contact printing, solar dyeing and eco printing. Create and test natural dye mordants on a variety of fabrics. Plan a dye garden design. Develop a beautiful book of samples and recipes.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Experiment with seasonal plant dyeing on a range of fibres
Identify dye plants, grow dye plant seedlings and design a dye garden
Explore botanical contact printing, eco printing and solar dyeing
Test natural dye mordants and modifiers
Investigate global dye practitioners and fibreshed models
