Ceres will be holding a day of dye garden creation and natural dye events.
Learn how to start your own natural dye garden, and practise natural dyeing with Ceres at the Remakery. The morning will be dedicated to growing a dye garden. We will be discussing some of the easier to grow indigenous dye plants, demonstrating ideas for making your own recycled containers, and planting seeds. Some of these seeds will be for the Remakery dye garden, and some will be available for you to take home in the containers.
Lunch
A picnic in Myatts Field Park (weather permitting)
Bring your own lunch or something to share
In the afternoon we will demonstrate how to set up natural dye vats using locally foraged and bio waste natural dyestuff. We will show you how to dye a variety of fabrics, to take home as samples. There will be opportunities to try different colour modifying ingredients, and a demonstration of eco solar dyeing.
